Finding an SEO agency in Los Angeles is easy. Finding one that fits your business, budget, competitive landscape, and growth model takes more work.
If you are comparing the Top SEO Agencies in Los Angeles, you will quickly notice that the market includes very different types of firms. Some specialize almost entirely in organic search. Others combine SEO with PPC, content, conversion optimization, social media, web development, or broader digital strategy.
That distinction matters when you are spending thousands of dollars each month.
You may want an LA SEO agency that understands local search and competitive Southern California markets. You may need enterprise technical SEO for a large website. Or you may want Los Angeles SEO services connected directly to paid media, lead generation, ecommerce revenue, or content production.
For this 2026 comparison, we reviewed ten agencies using a weighted model covering SEO specialization, Los Angeles relevance, independent client feedback, public case-study evidence, and pricing transparency.
Not every company below is headquartered in Los Angeles. Some have an LA office or established local presence, while others are national SEO firms that actively serve Los Angeles businesses. We account for that difference in the ranking rather than treating every provider as equally local.
The comparison table gives you a fast view of where each agency fits. The individual profiles go deeper into popular services, engagement costs, notable clients, company history, public ratings, and recurring review themes.

2. HawkSEM

Overview
HawkSEM is a strong fit when you want SEO connected to paid acquisition and measurable revenue rather than treated as an isolated channel. You also get access to its ConversionIQ attribution platform and a team with established Los Angeles roots.
Realistic caveat
A small number of reviewers report early onboarding or account-management friction before those issues were resolved.

Occasional criticism tends to involve onboarding, changes in account managers, or slower-than-expected early results.
3.Sachs Marketing Group

Overview
Sachs Marketing Group works well when you need an LA-area team that can support SEO alongside reputation management, social media, PPC and website work. It is particularly relevant to local and service businesses that prefer a broader digital marketing relationship.
Realistic caveat
SEO is only one part of its wider marketing mix, so a company wanting a narrowly specialized SEO-only partner may prefer another firm.
Snapshot
- Best for: Local businesses, service companies and reputation-sensitive brands
- Known for: Local presence, hands-on service and integrated digital marketing
- Popular services: SEO, local SEO, reputation management, social media, PPC, web design
- Minimum spend/retainer bands: Published SEO packages start around $2,550/month

Summary of online reviews
Clients consistently describe Sachs as responsive, transparent and easy to work with. Reviews frequently mention timely delivery, detailed communication and improvements in search visibility, leads or online reputation. Project management is another recurring positive theme. Its review sample is smaller than Coalition’s or Victorious’s, but the feedback available on Clutch is notably consistent.
4 Single Grain

Overview
Single Grain is geared toward established companies that want SEO integrated into a larger growth strategy. You can combine organic search with paid acquisition, content, CRO and digital strategy, with experience across recognizable technology and consumer brands.
Realistic caveat
Its higher project minimum makes Single Grain less practical if you are running a small local SEO campaign.
Snapshot
- Best for: Mid-market, SaaS and enterprise growth teams
- Known for: Integrated growth marketing and work with recognizable digital brands
- Popular services: Enterprise SEO, technical SEO, content marketing, PPC, CRO, digital strategy
- Minimum spend/retainer bands: Clutch lists a $10,000+ minimum project size; a standard monthly SEO retainer is not publicly confirmed
- Notable clients: Amazon, Uber, Salesforce, Airbnb, Lyft
- Years in the industry: Founded 2009
- Client rating: 4.8/5 (Clutch)
Summary of online reviews
Clutch reviewers praise Single Grain for knowledgeable specialists, reliable communication and a proactive approach to SEO and paid campaigns. Several clients mention measurable improvements in traffic, conversions or campaign efficiency. The agency also receives positive comments for responsiveness and its ability to bring specialized expertise into a broader marketing strategy. One recurring suggestion is that planning and discovery could occasionally go deeper at the beginning of an engagement.
5. Victorious

Overview
Victorious is one of the more SEO-focused companies on this list. You hire it primarily for technical SEO, content optimization, keyword strategy and authority development rather than for a broad digital marketing package.
Realistic caveat
Victorious is based in San Francisco rather than Los Angeles, and its current engagement requirements place it toward the premium end of this comparison.
Snapshot
- Best for: Companies wanting a highly SEO-focused agency
- Known for: Search specialization and structured technical/content programs
- Popular services: Technical SEO, on-page SEO, content strategy, link acquisition, SEO migrations, keyword strategy
- Minimum spend/retainer bands: Published SEO packages start around $5,999/month; Clutch separately lists a $50,000+ minimum project size
- Notable clients: Salesforce, SoFi, GE Digital
- Years in the industry: Founded 2013
- Client rating: 4.8/5 (Clutch)
Summary of online reviews
Victorious has a substantial Clutch review base, with clients frequently praising its organization, transparency and depth of SEO knowledge. Improvements in rankings, organic traffic and qualified leads appear regularly in feedback. Clients also value the agency’s structured communication and reporting. A recurring point of friction is that delivered content can require additional editing to match a client’s brand voice or subject-matter depth.
6.Thrive Internet Marketing Agency

Overview
Thrive is useful when your SEO campaign needs support from PPC, social media, web design or other marketing channels. SEO represents a substantial share of its current service mix, while its broader team can handle more than organic search.
Realistic caveat
Thrive’s current Clutch profile does not list a Los Angeles office, so you should view it as a national agency serving LA rather than a locally headquartered specialist.
Snapshot
- Best for: Growing businesses that want full-service digital marketing
- Known for: Large SEO practice combined with PPC, social and web services
- Popular services: SEO, local SEO, content marketing, PPC, social media, web design
- Minimum spend/retainer bands: Clutch lists a $1,000+ project minimum; actual monthly SEO pricing varies by scope
- Notable clients: Qualis Roofing, Sierra Group, Brazos Higher Education, Restoration 1
- Years in the industry: Founded 2005
- Client rating: 4.6/5 (Clutch)
Summary of online reviews
Many Thrive clients praise its communication, responsiveness and ability to keep marketing work moving on schedule. Positive reviews commonly mention gains in visibility, traffic and leads, along with helpful account management. Its large review history gives you more feedback to assess than most agencies here. There are also isolated strongly negative reviews concerning execution and expectations, so defining deliverables and success metrics clearly is worthwhile.
7. Los Angeles SEO Inc.

Overview
Los Angeles SEO Inc. is one of the most locally focused firms in this comparison. You can hire it for local, national, ecommerce and technical SEO, with particular relevance if Google Maps visibility or Southern California search competition matters to you.
Realistic caveat
Its Clutch profile currently has no verified client reviews, which gives you less independent feedback than the higher-ranked agencies.
Snapshot
- Best for: Local businesses and multi-location companies in Los Angeles
- Known for: LA-focused SEO and local search campaigns
- Popular services: Local SEO, national SEO, technical SEO, ecommerce SEO, content marketing, AI search optimization
- Minimum spend/retainer bands: Monthly SEO pricing is not confirmed publicly; Clutch lists a $1,000+ minimum project size and 100-149/hour
- Notable clients: Beverly Hills Bagel, Southern California Health Institute, Colonial Agency, Boardwalk Remodeling
- Years in the industry: Founded 2013
- Client rating: Not yet rated (Clutch)
Summary of online reviews
Los Angeles SEO Inc. has a verified Clutch profile, but it does not currently have verified client reviews there. That means there is no reliable Clutch rating or recurring independent review pattern to summarize yet. The agency publishes case studies and client examples on its own website, which are useful for understanding its work but should not be treated as equivalent to third-party reviews.
8. First Page Sage

Overview
First Page Sage is best suited to B2B companies that see SEO as a long-term content and lead-generation channel. Its model places significant emphasis on thought leadership, search intent and publishing rather than treating content as an add-on.
Realistic caveat
The agency is based in Berkeley rather than Los Angeles and currently has no verified reviews on its Clutch profile.
Snapshot
- Best for: B2B, SaaS and enterprise content-led SEO
- Known for: Thought leadership and long-form SEO content
- Popular services: SEO, content strategy, thought leadership, GEO/AEO, conversion optimization, lead generation
- Minimum spend/retainer bands: Clutch lists a $10,000+ minimum project size; a standard monthly SEO retainer is not publicly confirmed
- Notable clients: Salesforce, Microsoft, Logitech, U.S. Bank, Cadence, Verizon
- Years in the industry: Founded 2009
- Client rating: Not yet rated (Clutch)
Summary of online reviews
First Page Sage’s Clutch profile currently contains no verified customer reviews, so we cannot assign it an independent Clutch score or identify reliable third-party review trends. The agency does publish testimonials and client evidence through its own website. Those materials support its positioning and experience but are different from independently collected marketplace reviews.
9. Fuel Online

Overview
Fuel Online is better suited to larger organizations with complex SEO requirements and enough budget for senior strategic involvement. Its capabilities extend beyond traditional SEO into AI search, AEO, GEO, analytics, paid media and conversion strategy.
Realistic caveat
Its Boston base and premium engagement profile make it less relevant if your priority is working with a genuinely local Los Angeles SEO team.
Snapshot
- Best for: Enterprise and technically demanding SEO campaigns
- Known for: Senior strategy, technical SEO and AI search visibility
- Popular services: SEO, AI SEO, AEO/GEO, content marketing, PPC, CRO, analytics
- Minimum spend/retainer bands: Clutch lists a $5,000+ minimum project size; individual verified engagements include monthly spend around $20,000, but this is not a published standard retainer
- Notable clients: NVIDIA, AppDynamics, Aspect Software
- Years in the industry: Founded 1998
- Client rating: 5.0/5 (Clutch)
Summary of online reviews
Fuel Online receives particularly strong feedback for strategic knowledge, communication and senior-level involvement. Clients often describe the team as proactive, transparent and capable of tackling difficult search or digital growth problems. Results and responsiveness are common positive themes across its reviews. The most noticeable recurring tradeoff is cost, with some engagements sitting toward the expensive end of the market.
10. NMG Technologies

Overview
NMG Technologies makes the most sense if your SEO requirements overlap with website, ecommerce, software or product development. It has Los Angeles presence and documented search-marketing work, but its current positioning extends well beyond SEO.
Realistic caveat
Its present Clutch service profile is weighted heavily toward development and AI rather than organic search, making it the least SEO-specialized agency in this top ten.
Snapshot
- Best for: Businesses combining SEO with development or digital product work
- Known for: Technical delivery across marketing, websites, apps, software and AI
- Popular services: SEO, content marketing, technical SEO, digital PR, web development, ecommerce development
- Minimum spend/retainer bands: SEO-specific retainers are not confirmed publicly; Clutch lists a $1,000+ minimum project size
- Notable clients: Atlys, RAKwireless, Ascend Agency, Getty Unshuttered
- Years in the industry: Founded 2008
- Client rating: 4.6/5 (Clutch)
Summary of online reviews
NMG’s Clutch feedback frequently praises timely delivery, flexibility, communication and project-management support. Reviewers also value its ability to work across complex technical requirements. Some clients mention scope misunderstandings or communication issues that required additional clarification. Importantly, much of the available review pool relates to development projects rather than SEO specifically, which limits how directly the rating reflects its search-marketing work.
Methodology: how these agencies were ranked
We ranked these agencies using a weighted model designed specifically for businesses comparing SEO providers that either operate in Los Angeles or actively serve the Los Angeles market.
To qualify for consideration, an agency needed a meaningful SEO service offering, enough public information to assess its work, and either a Los Angeles presence or clear evidence that it serves businesses in the market. Local presence improved an agency’s score but was not required if the firm’s SEO specialization and public evidence were strong enough to make it relevant.
SEO specialization and depth accounted for 30%. We looked at how central SEO is to each agency’s business, including technical SEO, content, local search, ecommerce, authority development and newer areas such as AEO and GEO.
Los Angeles relevance accounted for 25%. A Los Angeles headquarters or established local office received more weight than simply serving California remotely. This is why locally established firms can rank above nationally recognized agencies with stronger overall brand awareness.
Public client reviews accounted for 20%. We considered both rating and review volume. A 5.0 score from a smaller sample does not automatically outweigh a slightly lower score supported by substantially more verified client reviews. Agencies without verified Clutch reviews were not given an implied rating.
Client and case-study evidence accounted for 15%. Publicly documented client relationships, case studies and demonstrable SEO experience helped distinguish firms with stronger proof of work. Agency-published case studies were treated as useful evidence but not as equivalent to independent reviews.
Pricing transparency and accessibility accounted for 10%. We considered published retainers, marketplace project minimums, hourly rates and the amount of pricing information available before a sales conversation. Monthly packages, project minimums and review-reported spending were treated as different types of pricing evidence rather than as interchangeable figures.
The final ranking follows this weighted model rather than simply sorting the agencies by Clutch score. That is why a 5.0-rated agency can rank below a 4.8-rated competitor with stronger Los Angeles relevance, greater SEO specialization or substantially more review evidence.
Location should not be treated as a proxy for SEO quality. A local service business may value Los Angeles market knowledge and Google Maps experience, while a SaaS, ecommerce or enterprise company may care more about technical depth, content strategy or attribution than the agency’s physical location.
Before choosing a provider, ask who will perform the work, which deliverables are included, how performance will be measured, who owns the content and campaign assets, and how newer services such as AEO or GEO differ from the agency’s standard SEO process.
